Our Story: A Legacy of Print
Glen Sparlin's journey in the world of print is a true family story, rooted in hard work and a love for the craft. As a teenager, Glen got his start at the Holtville Tribune, learning the ropes of the newspaper and printing trade. This experience inspired him to pursue a formal education, earning a degree in Graphic Communications from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
After college, Glen and his wife Debra, his high school sweetheart, moved to Yuma, Arizona. While raising their two children, Melissa and Shelby, Glen built a distinguished career with Western Newspapers, serving as a publisher and manager in various locations before returning to Yuma in 1989.
Upon returning to Yuma, Glen became the General Manager of Sun Graphics Printing, and in 2007, he and his wife proudly purchased the business. This was more than a career move; it was a way to secure a future for his family and the community he loves.
Since Glen’s retirement in 2019, his children have stepped up to manage the company, ensuring the legacy of Sun Graphics Printing remains strong for years to come. Today, Glen enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Shelby serves as general manager, keeping the shop's founding culture alive with a small but versatile full-time team of seven. What they offer goes well beyond print.
